A pair of tangents can be constructed from a point P to a circle of radius 3.5 cm situated at a distance of 3 cm from the center.

Solution
Radius, r = 3.5 cm
Point distance from center = 3 cm
But, r> d\Rightarrow 3.5 cm> 3cm
So, the point P lies inside the circle.
So, pair of tangents cannot be drawn to point P to a circle.
