Hint: Draw the graph

Given: Cake made from 5Kg of flour and 1Kg of fat

Solution: Let ‘x’ unit and ‘y’ unit of cake be made

              Maximum, z= x + y

 

              sub to,

              \begin{aligned} 200 x+100 y \leq 5000 \\ \end{aligned}

                                \begin{aligned} & \Rightarrow 2 x+y \leq 50 \\ \end{aligned}            .....(i)

                \begin{aligned} 25 x+50 y \leq 1000 \\ \end{aligned}

                                \begin{aligned} \Rightarrow x+2 y \leq 40 \end{aligned}            ......(ii)

            Solving (i) & (ii),

                                x=20,y=10

                

Points Value of z
\left ( 0,20 \right ) 20
\left ( 20,10 \right ) 30
\left ( 25,0 \right ) 25

                    Minimum cost is ? 25.
