Hint: Draw the graph

Given: Bran costs ? 5 per Kg, Rice costs ? 4 per Kg

Solution: Let Bran be x Kg and Rice be y Kg.

                Maximum z=5x+4y

                Sub to contraits,

                \begin{aligned} &\frac{80}{1000} x+\frac{100}{1000} y \geq \frac{88}{1000} \\ &\Rightarrow \quad 20 x+25 y \geq 22 \\ \end{aligned}        ....(ii)

              \begin{aligned} &\frac{40}{1000} x+\frac{30}{1000} y \geq \frac{36}{1000} \\ &\Rightarrow \quad 20 x+15 y \geq 18 \\ \end{aligned}              ...(ii)

              \begin{aligned} &x \geq 0, y \geq 0 \end{aligned}

             Solving (i) & (ii)

                              x=\frac{1}{2},y=\frac{1}{2}

                    

Points Value of z
\left ( 0,\frac{22}{25} \right ) \frac{88}{25}
\left ( \frac{1}{2},\frac{1}{2} \right ) \frac{5}{2}+\frac{5}{2}=5
\left ( \frac{11}{10},0 \right ) \frac{11}{2}

                    

                                        Minimum cost is 5.
