Draw a circle of radius 6cm using ruler and compasses. Draw one of its diameters. Draw the perpendicular bisector of this diameter. Does this perpendicular bisector contain another diameter of the circle?

  • Open the compass of radius 6 cm.
  • Place the pointer of the compass at point O and draw the circle.
  • Draw a diameter AS using a ruler.
  • Draw the perpendicular bisector PQ which intersects AS at center O.

The bisector PQ contains another diameter.
