Frogs are poikilothermic organisms. This indicates that their body temperature depends on the surrounding environment. This assists in conserving the energy which is usually spent on regulating the body temperatures of different organisms. To bypass unfavourable climatic conditions, frogs require an ability to hibernate. Thus, the ability to camouflage helps in avoiding predators. This also helps in catching the prey.
