Diameter of circle = b

Radius =\frac{b}{2}

Area =\pi r^{2}=\pi \left (\frac{b}{2} \right )^{2}=\frac{1}{4}\pi b^{2}cm^{2}

Here we found that the area of the largest circle is not equal πb2 cm2.                                                                                                     

Hence the given statement is False
