Solution

         

Diameter of circle (d) = 6 cm

Radius (r)=\frac{d}{2}=\frac{6}{2}=3cm

Area =\pi r^{2}            (area of circle = πr2)

=\pi \times 3 \times 3\\ =9 \pi cm^{2}
