Does the reaction of photosynthesis called, a ‘dark reaction’ need light? Explain.

During the dark reaction, the synthesis of carbohydrates occurs. The dark reaction does not directly depend on the presence of light, and therefore, the process is known as the dark reaction. The dark reaction occurs during the daytime as well and does not require complete darkness. So, dark reaction indirectly requires solar energy but can continue without it as well.
