Two regular Hexagons of perimeter 30cm each are joined as shown in Fig. 6.7. The perimeter of the new figure is

Perimeter of a regular hexagon = 6 × side of hexagon 
Side of hexagon will be : 30 cm = 6 × side
∴ Each side of a regular hexagon = 5 cm
∴ The perimeter of the new figure = 10 × side = 10 × 5 cm = 50 cm

Hence option (D) is correct.
