Can you consider cell division as a type of reproduction in unicellular organism? Give one reason.
Ans.
Unicellular organisms reproduce asexually by cell division of parent cells. The parentt cell divides into two daughter cells. Here parent cells do not tend to get old and die therefore unicellular organisms are even considered biologically immortal.
Hence, cell division can be considered a mode of reproduction in single-celled organisms, eg., Amoeba.
