Why does bread mould grow profusely on a moist slice of bread rather than on a dry slice of bread?

Ans.

Moist condition is suitable for the germination of spores and growth of hyphae. Even though bread is a suitable source of nutrients but dry condition wouldn’t allow spores to germinate.

That is why bread mould grow profusely on a moist slice of bread rather than on a dry slice.
