Hint: find the slope of the curve

Given: y=\frac{1}{x-3},x\neq 3

Solution: Slope of the line is 2

Slope of the curve is \frac-{1}{\left ( x-3 \right )}^{2}

\begin{aligned} &\Rightarrow-\frac{1}{(x-3)^{2}}=2 \\ &\Rightarrow 2(x-3)^{2}=-1 \\ &\Rightarrow 2\left(x^{2}-6 x+9\right)=-1 \\ &\Rightarrow 2 x^{2}-12 x+19=0 \end{aligned}

Which has no real roots b^{2}-4ac< 0

Hence: there is no tangent to the given curve having slope 2.
