Given : A is square matrix of order 3 and \left | adjA \right |=64

Hint : use the formula \left | adjA \right |=\left | A \right |^{n-1}

Solution : 

\begin{aligned} &|\operatorname{adj} A|=64 \\ &|\operatorname{adj} A|=|A|^{n-1} \\ &64=|A|^{3-1}(n=3) \\ &64=|A|^{2} \\ &|A|=\pm 8 \end{aligned}
