How do leaves of plants help in excretion?
Leaves of plants help in excretion in the following ways:
1) Stomata are the tiny openings present on the epidermis of leaves. Gaseous waste (byproducts) of respiration and photosynthesis are removed through stomata.
2) In many plants, waste material is stored in the vacuoles of mesophyll cells and epidermal cells. This waste is excreted along with the older leaves as they with and fall.
