(a) Auxin helps in the elongation of cells

Auxins are the most important plant hormones. They also encourage flowering plants, plant propagation, and the initiation of roots in stem cuttings. They are also used in gardens as weed repellers.

(b) Gibberellin helps in the growth of stem

Gibberellins are the hormones that promote flowering, germination, and stem lengthening.

(c) Cytokinin helps in the promotion of cell division

Cytokinins are plant growth regulators that play a major role in cell division in plants' roots and shoot systems. They also support cell development, differentiation, apical dominance, and the delaying of leaf senescence.

(d) Abscisic acid leads to the falling of senescent leaves.

 Abscisic was found in the 1960s as a growth inhibitor. It causes dormancy in seeds and buds and promotes the ageing of leaves and their shedding.
