What changes are observed in the uterus if fertilization does not occur?

Answers (1)

  • In preparation for the baby's nourishment, the uterus thickens its blood vessels and endometrial layer.
  • But if the egg fails to fertilise, the uterus gradually ruptures along the lining of the endometrium and leaks through the vagina. Menstruation is the term for this process.
