A rectangle is divided into certain number of equal parts. If 16 of the parts so formed represent the fraction $\frac{1}{4}$ , find the number of parts in which the rectangle has been divided.

Let the rectangle has been divided into x parts.

According to question

$\\ \frac{1}{4}=\frac{16}{x} \\\\ x=16 \times 4=64$

Hence the number of parts in a rectangle is 64.
