LCM of 3,8 by prime factorization method

3 = 1 x 3

8 = 2 x 2 x 2

LCM of 3,8 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 = 24

 \frac{3}{8}+\frac{2}{3} = \frac{3 \times 3+2\times 8}{24}= \frac{9+16}{24} = \frac{25}{24}
