When Sunita weighed herself on Monday, she found that she had gained  1\frac{1}{4}  5kg. Earlier her weight was 46\frac{3}{8}  kg. What was her weight on Monday?

Answers (1)

Sunita weight before Sunday = 46 \frac{3}{8} k g=\frac{371}{8} k g

Weight gained on monday = 1 \frac{1}{4} \mathrm{~kg}=\frac{5}{4} \mathrm{~kg}

Sunita's total weight on Monday  = \frac{371}{8} \mathrm{~kg}+\frac{5}{4} \mathrm{~kg}

LCM of 8,4 = 8

=\frac{371+5\times 2}{8} \mathrm{~kg}= \frac{381}{8} \mathrm{~kg}

=47 \frac{5}{8} \mathrm{~kg}
