When the leaves of a healthy plant are coated with vaseline it will block the stomatal pores. This will not allow the oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange so the plant will not live healthy for a long time. Plant will not be able to take in oxygen for respiration and carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.
