Hint: Draw the graph

Given: 1 kg of Food X costs ? 5 and 1 kg of Food Y costs ? 8

Solution: Let ‘x’ unit of Food X and ‘y’ unit of Food Y will produce.

             Minimum z= 5x + 8y

             sub to,

            \begin{aligned} &\Rightarrow x+2 y \geq 6 \\ \end{aligned}                ...(i)

            \begin{aligned} &\Rightarrow x+y \geq 7 \\ \end{aligned}                 ...(ii)

            \begin{aligned} &\Rightarrow x+3 y \geq 11 \\ \end{aligned}            ...(iii)

            \begin{aligned} &\Rightarrow \quad 2 x+y \geq 9 \end{aligned}        ....(iv)

          Solving  (ii)  & (iv),                                                            

                      x=2,y=5

         Solving (ii) & (iii)

                      y=2,x=5
