\begin{aligned} \mathrm{R} &=(500-\mathrm{x})(300+\mathrm{x}) \\ \end{aligned}

\mathrm{R}^{\prime} =-(300+\mathrm{x})+500-\mathrm{x} \\

      =200-2 \mathrm{x} \\

\mathrm{R}^{\prime}=0

200-2 x =0 \\

x =100 . \\

R^{\prime \prime}=-2<0 \text { Maximum. } \\

\text { Rate }=300+100=400 R s
