$\vec{r} \cdot \vec{n}=d$

Given:

$x+y=5$

Solution:

Vector equation of the plane $\vec{r} \cdot \vec{n}=d$

$x+y=3$

$\begin{aligned} &\Rightarrow(x \hat{\imath}+y \hat{\jmath}+z \hat{k}) \cdot(\hat{\imath}+\hat{\jmath})=3 \\\\ &\vec{r} \cdot(\hat{\imath}+\hat{\jmath})=3[\therefore \vec{r}=x \hat{\imath}+y \hat{\jmath}+z \hat{k}] \end{aligned}$
