Given:

\int_{0}^{2}\frac{1}{\sqrt{3+2x-x^{2}}}dx

Solution:

\int_{0}^{2}\frac{1}{\sqrt{3+2x-x^{2}}}dx=\int_{0}^{2}\frac{1}{\sqrt-{\left ( x^{2}-2x-3 \right )}}dx

=\int_{0}^{2} \frac{1}{\sqrt{-\left\{x^{2}-2 x \cdot 1+1-1-3\right\}}} d x

=\int_{0}^{2} \frac{1}{\sqrt{-\left\{(x-1)^{2}-1-3\right\}}} d x

                                                                                    \left [ \because \left ( a-b \right )^{2}=a^{2}-2ab+b^{2} \right ]

=\int_{0}^{2} \frac{1}{\sqrt{-\left\{(x-1)^{2}-4\right\}}} d x

=\int_{0}^{2} \frac{1}{\sqrt{4-(x-1)^{2}}} d x

=\int_{0}^{2} \frac{1}{\sqrt{2^{2}-(x-1)^{2}}} d x

=\left[\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{x-1}{2}\right)\right]_{0}^{2}

                                                                                                            \left [ \because \int \frac{1}{\sqrt{a^{2}-x^{2}}}dx=\sin ^{-1}\frac{x}{a} \right ]

=\left[\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{2-1}{2}\right)-\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{0-1}{2}\right)\right]

=\left[\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)-\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{-1}{2}\right)\right]

                                                                                                                    \left [ \because \sin ^{-1}\left ( -\theta \right )=-\sin \theta \right ]

=\left[\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)+\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)\right]

=2 \sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)

                                                                                                                \left [ \because \sin ^{-1}\frac{1}{2}=\frac{\pi }{6} \right ]

=2.\frac{\pi }{6}

=\frac{\pi }{3}
