Answer:  x= 2

Hint: Here we use basic concept of singular matrix

Given: \left|\begin{array}{ll} 6-x & 4 \\ 3-x & 1 \end{array}\right|

Solution :

Let ,

|A|=\left|\begin{array}{cc} 6-x & 4 \\ 3-x & 1 \end{array}\right|

Let's assume A is singular so,

\begin{aligned} &|A|=0 \\ &\left|\begin{array}{ll} 6-x & 4 \\ 3-x & 1 \end{array}\right|=0 \\ &6-x(1)-[(3-x)(4)]=0 \\ &6-x-12+4 x=0 \\ &3 x=6 \\ &x=2 \end{aligned}

\rightarrow \text { At } x=2 A becomes singular
