Hint: Here we use basic concept of determinant of matrix

Given: \left|\begin{array}{cc} 2 x & 5 \\ 8 & x \end{array}\right|=\left|\begin{array}{cc} 6 & -2 \\ 7 & 3 \end{array}\right|

Solution :

\begin{aligned} &(2 x \times x)-(8 \times 5)=18-[(-2)(7)] \\ &2 x^{2}-40=18+14 \\ &2 x^{2}-40=32 \\ &2 x^{2}=32+40 \\ &2 x^{2}=72 \\ &x^{2}=\frac{72}{2} \\ &x^{2}=36 \end{aligned}

x=\pm 6
