Hint: Here we use basic concept of determinant of matrix

Given: \left|\begin{array}{ccc} 2 & -3 & 5 \\ 6 & 0 & 4 \\ 4 & 5 & -7 \end{array}\right| find C_{12}

Solution :

\begin{aligned} &\mathrm{C}_{12}=(-1)^{1+2} M_{12} \quad\left[C_{i j}=(-1)^{i+j} M_{i j}\right] \\ &M_{12}=6(-7)-4(4)=-42-16=-58 \\ &\text { So, } \mathrm{C}_{12}=(-1)(-58) \\ &=58 \end{aligned}
