Given: \int_{0}^{1} \frac{1}{x^{2}+1} d x

Solution:  \int_{0}^{1} \frac{1}{x^{2}+1} d x

\begin{aligned} &=\left[\tan ^{-1} 1-\tan ^{-1} 0\right] \\\\ &=\frac{\pi}{4}-0 \\\\ &=\frac{\pi}{4} \end{aligned}
