Given: \int_{0}^{\infty} e^{-x} d x

Solution:  \left[\frac{e^{-x}}{-1}\right]_{0}^{\infty}

\begin{aligned} &=-\left[\frac{1}{e^{\infty}}-\frac{1}{e^{0}}\right] \\\\ &=0+1 \\\\ &=1 \end{aligned}
