Hint: Here we use the basic concept of algebra

Given: \begin{bmatrix} 2x+y & 3y\\ 0 & 4 \end{bmatrix}=\begin{bmatrix} 6 &0 \\ 6& 4 \end{bmatrix}

Solution:

Here Both side has 2\times 2 matrix

So we ca write

3y=0\\

y=0\\                        .............(i)

\therefore 2x+y=6

2x+0=6                     [ y=0 from eqn (i)]

\therefore 2x=6

x=3

Note: You should must match the order of matrix.
