Answer:  X= \begin{bmatrix} -1 &-1 \\ -2 & -1 \end{bmatrix}
Hint: Substitute Y value\: in\: 2X+Y .

Given: 2X+Y = \begin{bmatrix} 1 &0 \\ -3 & 2 \end{bmatrix} and \: Y = \begin{bmatrix} 3 &2 \\ 1 & 4 \end{bmatrix}
Here, we have to compute X .
Solution:

2X+Y = \begin{bmatrix} 1 &0 \\ -3 & 2 \end{bmatrix}, Y = \begin{bmatrix} 3 &2 \\ 1 & 4 \end{bmatrix}

2X+ \begin{bmatrix} 3 &2 \\ 1 & 4 \end{bmatrix} = \begin{bmatrix} 1 &0 \\ -3 & 2 \end{bmatrix}

2X= \begin{bmatrix} 1-3 &0-2 \\ -3-1 & 2-4 \end{bmatrix}

X= \frac{1}{2}\begin{bmatrix} -2 &-2 \\ -4 & -2 \end{bmatrix}

X= \begin{bmatrix} -1 &-1 \\ -2 & -1 \end{bmatrix}
