Please Solve RD Sharma Class 12 Chapter 4 Algebra of Matrices Exercise Very Short Asnwer Question 38 Maths Textbook Solution.

Answers (1)

Answer: $x=3$

Hint: Here we use the basic concept of algebra

Given: $\begin{bmatrix} 2x+y & 3y\\ 0 & 4 \end{bmatrix}=\begin{bmatrix} 6 &0 \\ 6& 4 \end{bmatrix}$

Solution:

Here Both side has $2\times 2$ matrix

So we ca write

$3y=0\\$

$y=0\\$ .............(i)

$\therefore 2x+y=6$

$2x+0=6$ [ y=0 from eqn (i)]

$\therefore 2x=6$

$x=3$

Note: You should must match the order of matrix.
