Answer:(d)

Hint: You must know the rules of finding probability.

Given: in the family each child is equally likely to be boy or a girl.

A family with three children chosen at random.

Solution: we have, B – Boy    ,    G – girl

S = {BBB ,BBG , BGB , BGG , GGG , GBG , GGB , GBB}

Let

 A be the event of selected family with girl and

B be the event of selecting family with least one girls

So,

\begin{aligned} &A=\{G G G, G B G, G G B, G B B\} \text { and } \\\\ &B=\{B B B, B B G, B G B, B G G, G G G, G B G, G G B, G B B\} \\\\ &\therefore n(A)=4, n(B)=7, n(A \cap B)=n(A)=4 \end{aligned}

Now,

P\left(\frac{A}{B}\right)=\frac{n(A \cap B)}{n(B)}=\frac{4}{7}
