Answer:(c)

Hint: You must know the rules of finding probability.

Given: Two dice are thrown. It is known that sum of number of on dice was less than 6

Solution:

Let

A be the event of getting a sum of 3

B be the event of getting a sum of 6

As,A=\{(1,2),(2,1)\} \text { and } B=\{(1,1),(1,2),(1,3),(1,4),(2,1),(2,2),(2,3),(3,1),(3,2),(4,1)\}

So,n(A)=2, n(B)=10

Now,

\begin{aligned} &P\left(\frac{A}{B}\right)=\frac{n(A \cap B)}{n(B)} \\ &=\frac{2}{10}=\frac{1}{5} \end{aligned}
