Given: Bag = (5B + 4W + 3R) balls

Solution: We know that the bag contains 5B + 4W + 3R = 12 balls

Now,

\begin{aligned} &P(B)=\frac{5}{12} \\\\ &P(R)=\frac{3}{12} \\\\ &P(B \text { or } R)=P(B)+P(R) \\ \end{aligned}

\begin{aligned} &=\frac{5}{12}+\frac{3}{12} \\\\ &=\frac{8}{12}=\frac{2}{3} \end{aligned}
