Answer:(c)

Hint: You must know the rules of finding probability.

Given: P(A)=\frac{1}{2}, P(B)=\frac{1}{3}, P\left(\frac{A}{B}\right)=\frac{1}{4}

Solution:

\begin{aligned} &P\left(\frac{A}{B}\right)=\frac{1}{4} \\\\ &\frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(B)}=\frac{1}{4} \\\\ &P(A \cap B)=\frac{1}{4} \times P(B) \\\\ &P(A \cap B)=\frac{1}{4} \times \frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{12} \end{aligned}

Also,

\begin{aligned} &P(A \cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A \cap B) \\\\ &=\frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{3}-\frac{1}{12} \\\\ &=\frac{6+4-1}{12}=\frac{9}{12}=\frac{3}{4} \end{aligned}

Now,

\begin{aligned} &P(\bar{A} \cap \bar{B})=P(\overline{A \cup B})=1-P(A \cup B) \\\\ &=1-\frac{3}{4}=\frac{4-3}{4}=\frac{1}{4} \end{aligned}
