Given: Urn contains 9 balls = [2 red + 3 blue + 4 black]

Three balls are drawn

Solution: Red balls = 2

Blue balls = 3

Black balls = 4

P(all three balls are same colour) = P(all three are blue) + P(all 3 are black)

\begin{aligned} &=\frac{3}{9} \times \frac{2}{8} \times \frac{1}{7}+\frac{4}{9} \times \frac{3}{8} \times \frac{2}{7} \\ &=\frac{1}{84}+\frac{4}{84} \\ &=\frac{5}{84} \end{aligned}
