Solution:

\begin{gathered} \mathrm{P}(\overline{\mathrm{A}} \cap \overline{\mathrm{B}})=\mathrm{P}(\overline{\mathrm{A}}) \mathrm{P}(\overline{\mathrm{B}}) \\ \end{gathered}

                     \begin{gathered} =[1-\mathrm{P}(\mathrm{A})][1-\mathrm{P}(\mathrm{B})] \\ \end{gathered}

                    \begin{gathered} =[1-0.3][1-0.6] \\ \end{gathered}

                     \begin{gathered} =(0.7) \times(0.4) \\ \end{gathered}

                      =0.28
