Given: A speaks truth = 75%

B speaks truth = 80%

Solution: P (A speaks truth) = 0.75

P (A lies) = 1 – 0.75 = 0.25

P (B speaks truth) = 0.8

P (B lies) = 1 – 0.8 = 0.2

P (contradicting each other) = P (A speaks truth B lies) + P (B speaks truth A lies)

\begin{aligned} &\Rightarrow(0.75 \times 0.2)+(0.8 \times 0.25) \\ &\Rightarrow 0.15+0.2 \\ &\Rightarrow 0.35 \\ &=\frac{35}{100}=\frac{7}{20} \end{aligned}
